Power Detection of Fiber Lasers

Power Detection of Fiber Lasers

Hello everyone, I am Master Wang from Sky FireTechnology. Today, I will explain the power detection process of fiber lasers. This step-by-step guide will help you ensure that your fiber laser operates correctly and safely.

Preparing the Laser

Connecting the Components

First of all, we need to prepare the laser. This involves connecting the signal cable, the power cable, and the water pipe. Ensuring these connections are secure and correct is essential for the subsequent steps.

Inserting the QBH into the KBH Socket

Checking Cleanliness

Next, we need to insert the QBH of the laser into the KBH socket. During this process, it is crucial to check the cleanliness of the KBH head of the fiber and avoid bumping it.

Aligning and Locking

Keep the COBH head level during insertion. There are three slots on it, one of which is a long colored slot that should be aligned with the red dot here. Insert it horizontally, rotate it clockwise, pull it, then rotate again to lock it securely.

Powering On and Adjusting

Turning On the Laser and Chiller

After locking, we can power on the laser and the chiller. If turned on without any alarms, we will see a red light.

Adjusting the Red Light

By adjusting the distance, make the red light shine on the detection target. The red light area should cover more than two-thirds of the detection target's area, without exceeding the maximum range of the detection target.

Connecting the Software and Conducting the Light Test

Connecting to the Software

Once confirmed, we can connect the software through the computer to control the laser for the light test.

Performing the Light Test

During the light test, we need to increase the power gradually from low to high, without rushing. Remember to observe the power display to see if it is linear and check if the increase meets the power output requirements.

Safety Measures

Personal Protective Measures

During the actual operation, please take personal protective measures. It is best to wear laser safety glasses to ensure your safety while working with the laser.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the power detection process of fiber lasers is a detailed and careful procedure that ensures the laser operates correctly and safely. By following these steps, you can maintain the efficiency and safety of your fiber laser.

Thank you for reading, and I hope this guide helps you in your fiber laser power detection process. For more detailed demonstrations, please refer to our actual operation video.
