Enclosed sheet metal cutting solution

Overview

SF-FlyingX Enclosed Fiber Laser Cutting Machine for Sheet Metal Fabrication

SF-FlyingX is a fully enclosed fiber laser cutting machine built for productive sheet-metal fabrication. It combines 3-20 kW laser power, a high-speed shuttle table, EtherCAT motion control, intelligent fume extraction and a robust precision-machined bed in one operator-focused platform.

Four configurable working areas support job shops and production manufacturers processing carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, brass and compatible sheet materials.

Best For

  • General sheet-metal fabrication, contract cutting and mixed-material production.
  • Manufacturers requiring enclosed laser protection and effective fume extraction.
  • High-utilization production that benefits from loading and unloading one table while the other table is cutting.
  • Applications from small-shop metalwork to electronics, aerospace, automotive and batch production.

Core Advantages

  • Fully enclosed protection: protective viewing windows filter scattered laser light while allowing external process observation.
  • High-speed shuttle table: reduces idle time by allowing material handling during cutting; the 3015 reference configuration changes tables in approximately 22-24 seconds.
  • Follow-up fume extraction: multi-zone vents open near the active cutting area and close elsewhere to maintain focused suction.
  • EtherCAT control: provides fast signal response, low latency, closed-loop feedback, simplified wiring and strong interference resistance.
  • Robust machine body: thick high-strength welded steel, high-temperature stress relief and multi-stage precision milling support stable long-term accuracy.

FAQ

Which laser power should I choose?

The correct power depends on material type, thickness, edge-quality requirements and required throughput. Representative parts should be reviewed before configuration.

Which working areas are available?

Standard configurations include 3,050 x 1,530 mm, 6,050 x 1,530 mm, 4,050 x 2,000 mm and 6,050 x 2,500 mm working areas.

Can it cut with compressed air?

Yes. Compressed-air cutting can be configured for suitable materials and thicknesses. Compressor capacity and air quality must meet the process requirement.

Does the enclosure control cutting fumes?

The full enclosure is paired with a multi-chamber follow-up extraction system. An appropriately sized external dust collector is still required for the material, power and production duty.

Can automatic loading and unloading be added?

Yes. Automatic loading and combined loading/unloading systems are available as project options.
